Which fuel line goes to the primer bulb?
The (clear) fuel intake line runs from the top of the carburetor (straight nipple) and goes to the short post on the back of the primer bulb. The return line (blue) comes from the long post on the back of the primer bulb and goes into the bottom of the fuel tank.
How a Walbro carburetor works?
For each intake cycle of the engine, the engine draws a small amount of fuel from the lower fuel chamber past the low speed mixture circuit. The drawn fuel opens the fuel flow seat and the engine vacuum actually draws the fuel from the fuel supply pipe via the upper chamber.
Can I bypass the primer bulb?
No, it won’t work depending on the engine design. Without going into details the primer bulb forces fuel to the carb jets and not the engine directly. It also forces pressure and vacuum. Without the bulb your carb will be flooded on a permanent basis.
Why do Weedeaters have 2 fuel lines?
The supply lines need to connect to the fuel tank so that, when the weed eater is held in the operating position, they are below the fuel level. The vent and return lines will typically attach higher up. The lower line on the carburetor should be the supply line, the upper one would be above fuel to vent air.
Which Walbro carburetor do I have?
According to the Small Engine Advisor site, Walbro identification numbers are normally found on the outside body of the carburetor. Walbro carburetor identification codes are a combination of letters and numbers, WT-160B, for example. Also, the Walbro name is sometimes prominently cast on the carburetor body.
Are Walbro carbs good?
Only good thing is the carbs are dirt cheap to replace when they foul up. And they will foul up no matter how picky you are with fuel quality. Zama is owned by Stihl or part owned by Stihl and has their main factory in Japan. They are excellent carbs,no better or o worse than the equivalent Walbro.
How does a carburetor with a diaphragm work?
A flexible diaphragm forms one side of the fuel chamber and is arranged so that as fuel is drawn out into the engine, the diaphragm is forced inward by ambient air pressure. As fuel is replenished the diaphragm moves out due to fuel pressure and a small spring, closing the needle valve.
What are the 3 types of carburetors?
There are three general types of carburetors depending on the direction of flow of air.
- Types of Carburetors.
- Constant Choke Carburetor:
- Constant Vacuum Carburetor:
- Multiple Venturi Carburetor:
Do 2 cycle engines have a carburetor?
A 2-stroke or double barrel carburetor works the same way that a basic carburetor works, except that more air and gasoline can be pushed into the engine because there are more barrels or tubes and thus, more airflow.
